About
In 1932 a meeting was held in the Fire Brigade Hall between Jim Pow, Alf Lethbridge and the Secretary of the WACA, Tom Jones.
That meeting saw the Bassendean Cricket Club admitted to the WACA competition for the first time in the 1933/34 season. Two teams were fielded, B2 and B3 grades.
It wasn't until the season of 1947/48 that the Club, now renamed the Bassendean Turf Cricket Club was promoted to play First Grade Cricket.
In the season 1961/62 the Club moved to Hillcrest Reserve and were renamed Bassendean-Bayswater, this was finally changed at the start of the 1980/81 season to Bayswater Morley to better reflect our catchment area.
The Club now fields four senior and four junior teams in the WACA competition.
