Bayswater-Morley are in danger of losing their third consecutive WACA first-grade pennant match after the first day of the clash with reigning premier Claremont-Nedlands. Being sent in on a Hillcrest wicket which was under prepared because of late week rain and with the ball seaming and swinging prodigiously, the Bears batting was devastated by the brilliant performance of Western Warriors contracted quick Tim McDonald who finished with a career best 8-31 including a hat-trick. Bayswater-Morley continued their impressive start to the WACA First-Grade pennant season with two emphatic wins at the weekend. At James Oval on Saturday University declared on their overnight total of 8-283 and the Bears had a full 92 overs to reach that target. Although only the wicket of Chris Hall [11] was lost in the first session, the going was slow and at lunch the run rate was marginally over two runs an over. Write Comment (0 Comments) |

Bayswater-Morley find themselves in a vulnerable position after the first day of their WACA First-Grade pennant match against University at James Oval on Saturday. University won the toss and elected to bat first on what is traditionally a batsman-friendly track, but found early trouble from a spirited Bears attack, and were tottering at 4-56 at the close of the pre-lunch session. Western Warrior Mathew Inness struck twice early, and Kim Lawrence and Joe Barnes took a wicket apiece.Write Comment (0 Comments) |

Bayswater-Morley began the WACA Pennant first-grade cricket season in fine style by defeating Perth at Hillcrest Reserve on the weekend. Choosing to bat first on Saturday morning, the visitors were soon in trouble, losing two quick wickets, including that of Western Warrior Luke Ronchi for a duck, inside the fifth over. The situation worsened to 6/49 after 37 overs and the lower order did well to progress the score to 102 before being dismissed.Write Comment (0 Comments) |

Join us at the clubrooms for AFL grand final day 30/9/2006 11.30am. Big screen to watch, sausage sizzle at half time and TJ will be his usual annoying self behind the bar. Unless the Dockers make it, in which case he'll be a nervous blubbering mess, which would be just as entertaining. Write Comment (0 Comments) |
